The Top 8 first hit the airwaves...
...on September 14th, 1991 as a 45 minute 8 song countdown with one Cole Cut.
In 1992, the Top 8 expanded to an hour with another Cole Cut and Open Auditions. Co-host Ron Reimche joined Jason Cole and stayed with the Top 8 until 1994.
By 1997, the Top 8 included a rotating lineup of 8 Special Features.
On November 15th, 2003, Christopher's Corner was introduced, a show within a show, hosted by Chris Cole in the middle of the Top 8.
And on February 23rd, 2008, Emma's Place was opened, a new space on the Top 8, hosted by Emma Cole.
As the Top 8 continues into 2010 and beyond, keep your calls and Instant Requests coming in to VOAR.

A show within a show, with songs on a common theme, hosted by Christopher
Cole.

A #1 song from early Top 8 countdowns.
"Cole Cut"
One of my favourites.
"Emma's Place"
A new space in the Top 8, featuring songs chosen by host Emma Cole.
"Open Auditions"
2 or more newer songs, usually by the same artist.
